Soon, violent strikes broke out in Baltimore, Chicago, Kansas City, Pittsburgh, St. Additional modifications were made in 1950 to support even heavier railroad cars. No more trains of ice from Bantam, Congamond and other points, the Frigidaire took away this business, and when cement began to be used for building, the stone quarries closed down and that business was lost. An agreement with the Rensselaer and Saratoga Railroad Company called for a passenger station and trains to stop twice a day except Sunday.
